ServiceTarget is looking for someone to help us create amazing user experiences that our customers love. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean, artful, and modern web design, and should have superior user interface design skills. The successful candidate will be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts; they will be able to transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs.

What you will get form this role

The Graphic & UX/UI Designer will work with our Marketing team and the Product Development team. As a key member of the design team, you will support the execution of a variety of projects and deliverables. Specifically, as UI/UX Design Intern you will focus your skill set development on:

  • Gathering user requirements.

  • Translating business requirements and mock-ups into fully functional features by working closely with product owners and marketing.

  • Designing and implementing UX components that are simple, intuitive and easy to use.

  • Developing across the full stack of Web technologies - JavaScript, Angular, HTML, CSS, Java

  • Working in a Scrum-based Agile development process that is light on documentation and meetings and heavy on execution

What will you be doing

  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows to communicate interaction and design ideas

  • Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders

  • Help improve the overall experience of our product through research and design

  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards

  • Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets

  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)

  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images

  • Executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering

  • Conceptualizing original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks

  • Assist the team with all production elements of new and repurposed content driven by content team including writing support, editorial reviews, publishing, and distribution.

  • Support additional duties as assigned.

It is necessary for this Intern candidate to be in college with a graduation date of 2019 or later. Candidates will be expected to work at least 20 hours a week during the school year and have the ability to work full-time during the summer and school breaks.   


  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in accredited college/university

  • Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Preferred major(s) – Computer Science or a related field

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Adobe, Squarespace, WordPress.

  • Experience in JavaScript, web development frameworks and Java

  • Preferred experience -  Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications

  • Have a strong design skill set with a portfolio to present

  • Highly organized and detail oriented

  • Creative thinker and problem solver

  • Ability to work at a fast pace, handling multiple projects at once.
